This is a summary of a leadership training class designed to study what the Bible teaches about leadership and to practice leadership.  You will have an opportunity to talk and listen to God through prayer and Bible study and to be involved with other brethren who want to grow in effective leadership.  After our introductory session, classes will consist of four parts:

1.    Leadership Prayer:  looking into the heart of God and his leaders at their best — and worst — and into our hearts to examine our thoughts, feelings, and motives as we try to grow as leaders of ourselves, our families, in the church, in business, and in our community.

2.   Leadership Projects:  divided into small leadership groups, we will consider typical leadership challenges that arise and decide how to respond.  What is the conclusion of the group?  What action will be taken?  Who will be responsible for seeing it carried out?  When will it be done?  How will we communicate this to the group?  How will we answer questions about this issue?

3.   Leadership Problems and Possibilities:  some topics – How do leaders become and stay “blameless”?  How do leaders deal with followers and leaders who become disqualified and/or ineffective?  Where do leaders go for help with their problems?  Who are leaders’ leaders?  How and why do we honor leaders?  How do we encourage future leaders?

4.   Leadership Mustard Seeds:  What did you learn about God, yourself, others, and leadership?
